Though not a baker himself, he loves to drive baked goods to their needed destination. When not delivering cakes, Peter loves to watch and play basketball, and keeps his mind sharp by playing video games.

I volunteer at Saratoga Library’s used bookstore, The Book-Go-Round. I am a very active member of AAUW, American Association of University Women’s San Jose branch. I am married with two adult children. I recently retired from the wholesale beverage industry.

Designer, koi fish lover, and entrepreneur, Jimmy sure keeps himself busy. When not taming pixels, Jimmy can be found tearing up the amateur table tennis circuit with his killer backhand smash.

I am an accountant by day, self taught baker by night. My sweet tooth led me into the kitchen, learning everything from cookies to cupcakes and even pies! After making my first fondant cake in 2009, I was fully addicted to baking and cake decorating.

I’m an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley studying English and Media Studies. In my free time I enjoy playing soccer, camping, and practicing Taekwondo. I love working with fondant and I’m excited to turn my hobby into a way to benefit others through Cake4Kids!

I’m married and have one teenaged son. I prefer to bake “gourmet” cupcakes and other desserts and when I’m not busy baking I like to spend my time hiking. My favorite hiking spot is Castle Rock State Park.

Prior to joining Cake4Kids, Renee and Alison enjoyed store-bought and decorated cakes unless someone else made them. We have contributed three cakes so far and look forward to bringing more smiles to foster kids through this great organization.

I'm Sonali Parthasarathy. I moved out to the Bay Area about a year ago for work. I work at a multi-national consulting firm in downtown San Jose. My favorite topics: Dance, Movies, Music, Art and Bartending :)

As a retired pediatrician, nanny, music teacher and mother of two sons, my life's journey has always revolved around children. I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful organization that allows me to be creative and bring joy to the less fortunate!

Cake4Kids partners with Hotel Avante and Domain Hotel to help local foster care and at-risk youth have a happy birthday. Hotel Avante and Domain Hotel graciously donate their executive business meeting rooms for Cake4Kids monthly volunteer orientations, business meetings, classes and events.

Cake4Kids was founded in September, 2010 in Sunnyvale, CA by Libby Gruender to provide free birthday cakes to at risk youth in the San Francisco Bay Area. Cake4Kids mission is to serve San Francisco Bay Area agencies that cater to disadvantaged children and youth and to provide a service that brings smiles and hope to children who wouldn't otherwise have a birthday. As Cake4Kids volunteer base grows, our mission is expanding and we continue to add new agencies.
